Dominique and Martin had spent 30 years working in the tourism field at l’Esterel Hotel in the Lower-Laurentians.
But when they came to the Mont-Laurier region to develop new snowmobiling networks, they were so taken aback
by its beauty they decided never to leave! 

Their meeting with Marco Léonard, a well-known local businessman, was decisive. Together, they decided to buy
« le Rabaska » Outfitters and to transform it into a magnificent resort.  On May 15, 2007 the three new associates
took possession of the property. 

Since then many changes have been made to give Rabaska its due distinction and elegance.  The cottages have been
completely renovated, camp sites have been added or developed, the terrace was enlarged and the interior decoration
of the restaurant bar was completely redone.  New vacation packages were elaborated to address the needs of
a demanding clientele.  No detail was overlooked when it came to respecting visitors' expectations for comfort.

It was on the summit of the Devil's Mountain that Dominique and Martin said,
« yes » to buying Rabaska. This weighty decision, fraught with new
responsibilities, would change their lives. Therefore, it was only normal that
this spot, filled with symbolic meaning, be the scene of their civil union!
In the spirit of the occasion, Dominique was on a snowmobile and Martin
on a quad. Enthusiasts of these two sports were invited to take part in the
festivities.

So it was on January 12, 2008, on the top of the mountain, under a radiant sun,
and thankfully mild weather that the two lovebirds, in the presence of their
250 guests, said « yes » to their vows.
